How To Choose The Right LED Grow Light?

Developing an idea about how to get into horticulture is not any difficult task but to choose the right things for the best output really are. It is very much important that you choose the most suited appliances and properties to nourish the plantation in the best possible way, but people often feel confused when they have to make the choice regarding all these things. Well, not to worry then because here we are going to discuss a few key tips to choose the right LED to grow light:

1: Wattage Of The LED Grow Lights:

These LED grow lights contain certain chips inside them which are the only reason for how they are workable. The 3W chips are the most preferred ones because they can easily meet up requirements for both the user and the plants. Wattage should be such that at low power consumption it must be able to provide the best to the plants . Only then a grow light can be called a successful one.

2: Spectrum

Many LEDs have been introduced with emits a full band spectrum and are most preferred ones because they consist of all the wavelengths needed by any plant at the time of growth. 11 band spectrum lights are also available with lacks certain replication to the sunlight, but 12 band spectrum replicated sunlight to the maximum extent. So, always look for the spectrum range for the light you are going to buy.

3: Intensity

Greater the intensity, larger would be the extent of providing Growth supporting conditions for the plants and herbs. So, the intensity of light always plays a major role in deciding the yield and foremost, the survival of the plantation.

4: Heat Sinking Technology

Heat produced by certain Non-LED lights like HPS lights is very much harmful to the plants because theheat produced is large. Make sure that the grow lights you are buying emits the least possible heat along with the light. If it does then make sure that it contains heat sinking technology like fans or aluminium coated sinking walls. This way heat is transferred to the outside quickly.

5: Reflectors/ Lens

These are also the things a grow light must have to magnify the effect and focus of the light. However, LEDs can work well even if they t have lenses or reflectors installed but for large area gardening, their presence starts making differences. So, always prefer to have reflector type LEDs or any grow lights if you have a good budget . Otherwise, without them also LEDs remain operational.

6: Warranty

This is also a good think to check for the grow lights you want to buy. Most of these lights come with a warranty of around 2 years which is enough to check the performance. Make it clear that if you are paying good, your product stays secure for quite along time. Many of the expensive lights also come up with more long warranty time periods say 5 years,7 years or so. So choose accordingly if you are buying an expensive appliance.

Those will be your choices that’ll govern the total yield and ultimate survival of the plants you have. So be sure that you are making the best choice at the very moment of buying such grow lights. All the very Best.

  1. This makes them an excellent choice for gardens used for indoor plant growing, such as indoor gardening and herb gardening. Hydroponics plants also benefit from the LED lighting systems. Do you want to know more about grow tents? for detailed info click here.
